New York’s own glass and ceramic maker Corning has just introduced a revolutionary new substrate to their portfolio called Willow Glass. The glass can be produced in sheets that are just 100 microns thick — equivalent to a standard sheet of paper. Corning is marketing with confidence having near-limitless potential in wrapping around interactive touchscreen devices and on a large-scale high-definition digital display units. The company is currently shipping samples of Willow Glass to select customers and full production could begin sometime later this year.
